Robert W. Chilcoat Jr. launched Chilmar Corporation in 1978, specializing in plumbing and HVAC installations.
In 1994, Chilmar became the Prime contractor on all their projects, self-performing the plumbing and HVAC work. Robert W Chilcoat III, President and Head Project Manager joined Chilmar in 1995. In 2016 We embarked on elevator projects with over 40 completed Elevators.
Chilmar Corporation believes in promoting from within the company. All our Journeyman and Superintendents have gone through apprenticeship training. Many of our Journeyman and Superintendents have been employed here for over 25 years. We constantly train our employees in apprenticeships, on-the-job training, computer classes, first aid classes, and all areas that can make our employees well rounded.
We believe in quality over quantity. We are also one of the very few General Mechanical Contractors who have their own sheet metal division. We not only install our sheet metal; we also create each project per specification. Our sheet metal division is available for subcontracting and precision fabrication projects.
